About Mandy Schnatter

Mandy Schnatter is a LA / Bay Area based comics artist and independent film assistant director. Her artistic career began with taking media classes at her Florida high school. She moved to the Bay Area in 2017 to pursue a degree in cinema from San Francisco State University and graduated with honors in 2021.

After graduating Mandy began working as an assistant director on independent short films in 2021 and fell in love with being a crew member on set. She has worked on and produced many films that have been featured in festivals such as Another Hole in the Head film festival.

Outside of working on physical productions, Mandy uses her degree in comics and animation to create autobiographical comics. Her animation thesis was featured in SFSU film finals showcase. She now works freelance animating for shorts and independent documentaries.

In her free time she creates funky cowboy sculptures and cuddles with her crazy cat Niles.
